Microchipping your pet is a very good idea. The microchip is about the size of a grain of rice, and inserted under the skin at the back of the neck. It is a permenant identification of you pet, meaning they will always be identifiable if they are lost, wander, or are stolen. It is also a legal requirement if they are to travel outside of the UK.
